Restore and Enhance a Youthfully-Perky Breast Profile!
Most women will experience breast sag, or breast ptosis, at some point in their lives. Whether it is due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, age, weight changes, or simply genetics. Luckily, the unappealing appearance of sagging, drooping breasts can be corrected.
A breast lift, also known as a breast mastopexy, can restore your breast to a perkier, more youthful shape by removing lax skin and repositioning the nipple-areolar (colored portion around nipple) complex to a higher position. Additionally, the size of the areola can be reduced if it has enlarged over time. The desire to enhance your breasts with a breast lift procedure can be prompted by a variety of reasons, including:
- Improve the shape and position of breasts
- Correct symmetry between breasts
- Create a perkier breast contour
- Resize the nipple-areolar complex
- Look and feel better about your breasts in and out of clothes
Why do women get breast lifts?
A breast lift can help you feel more confident in the appearance of one of your most feminine, most personal features. Types Of Breast Lift Procedures
There are several different types of breast lift procedures that can be employed to enhance your breast silhouette. Breast ptosis refers to the amount of droop the breasts have, ranging from minor to severe. Each breast lift procedure has its own set of advantages to suit each patient’s needs based on the amount of breast ptosis that is present. These are the techniques used by Dr. Bunch:
Circumareolar (Doughnut) Lift
The Circumareolar (Doughnut) Mastopexy or Lift is best suited for patients with minimal breast droop. It involves making an incision all the way around the nipple-areolar complex (like a doughnut) in order to remove excess skin and lift the nipples and areola. Silicone or Saline breast implants can augment the breast lift and be added if the patient wants more volume.
Depending on the extent of your procedure, it can run between 1-2 hours under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Of course, activities will be limited for several weeks while your incisions heal, but most patients only require a few days to a week off work to recover. We will follow you closely in the postoperative period and will give you specific instructions for your care.
Vertical (Lollipop) Lift
The Vertical (Lollipop) Mastopexy or Lift is best suited for patients with moderate breast droop. It involves making an incision from the crease of the breast vertically and around the nipple in order to remove excess skin and lift the nipples and areola.
Full (Anchor) Lift
A Full (Anchor) Mastopexy is utilized in cases of severe breast sag and can make significant improvements in the overall breast shape and appearance. With this type of lift, the incision runs around the nipple-areolar complex, then runs vertically down the center of the breast, and along the natural fold of the breast resembling an anchor shape.
Depending on the extent of your procedure, it can run between 2-3 hours under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Of course, activities will be limited for several weeks while your incisions heal, but most patients only require a few days to a week off work to recover. We will follow you closely in the postoperative period and will give you specific instructions for your care.

Patient Testimonial
"Dr. Bunch has really changed my life. I had a breast reduction done about 2 weeks ago. And not only do my breast look amazing I feel so much better. I use to have lots of back pain due to the heaviness of my breast but since the surgery I haven’t even thought about my back. The staff there is also very nice. I was very nervous about getting the surgery since I never had surgery before, but the doctor and his staff were very reassuring so I felt very at ease with everything."
